Karen Agustiawan Extends Leadership In Pertamina
Jakarta – TAMBANG. The State Owned Enterprises Minister, Dahlan Iskan, has decided to extend the term for Karen Agustiawan as the President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero). As stipulated in the decree No. SK-174/MBU/2013, issued on March 5, 2013, her period is temporarily extended until a definitive President Director is appointed.
Karen Agustiawan was first appointed as Pertamina’s president director in February 2009, and her term was scheduled to end in March 2013. During the period of her administration, she has successfully improved the company’s performance and set the highest profit record ever for Pertamina. With the increased production up to 461,640 BOEPD in 2012, Pertamina has booked $2.66 billion of net profit, and contributing $6.82 billion to the state income.
Another outstanding achievement of Pertamina is in corporate governance, with a GCG score of 93.51 and corporate health score of 94.43 with an AA rating.
Although the extension was temporary, Karen Agustiawan could still be re-appointed as the company’s chief for another office term. Furthermore, there is no change in the overall board structure of PT Pertamina (Persero). []
